Look did respond, said to go back to Probike kit. Probike kit got back to me. They said they offer a one year warranty on all faulty goods sold so there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks Michael.
I wrote to Look France, Pro Bike Kit and the UK distributor.
No response as yet.
I too thought of tapping the axle and inserting a normal screw but I will wait for a response 1st.

George

The American eBay seller tried to get some help from his distributor without luck. I also sent a message to LOOK via their website but got no reply.

I agree that this looks like a design fault. These strange screws are actually hammer-driver screws, quite common in some metal fabrication work. I couldn’t get an exact replacement in Brisbane so I resorted to having the little axle tapped and a standard screw inserted.

Exactly the same thing happened to me today.
Obvious design fault.
It astounds me that the distributor did not honour the warranty? Did you report him to LOOK France?

Hey Ritterview

I had it replaced with a standard machine screw, about two months ago. I’ll post a follow-up soon.

Well, did you find the screw? Mine just fell out, and I am now going through the same process.
